Fall Festival and Trunk-or-Treat

Winona Main Street will sponsor the annual Fall Festival and Trunk or Treat from 5:30 p.m. until 8 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 31 in downtown Winona. The trunk or treat will begin at  7 p.m. Booth spaces for the festival are free and all items at the booth must be free. Nothing can be for sale. All food, activities and games must be free. Trunks will be lined up along the south end of Front Street. Carrollton and North Carrollton Halloween and Trunk-or-Treats

The Towns of Carrollton and North Carrollton will be celebrate Halloween on Thursday, October 31. There will be also be Trunk or Treats held at the Carrollton Methodist Church and at the Carrollton Baptist Church. North Carrollton Baptist Church will participate with Carrollton for trunk or treat. The town of North Carrollton will also join Carrollton for the activities on Halloween.

FRIDAY FOOTBALL!

The Winona High School Tigers will take on the Ruleville Central High School Tigers at 7 p.m. in Winona.

The J.Z. George High School Jaguars will take on the Calhoun City High School Wildcats at 7 p.m. in Calhoun City.

SATURDAY HAPPENINGS

“Masters of Design” Specialty Flower Show

• The Winona Garden Club will present “Masters of Design,” a national garden club design specialty flower show on Saturday, Nov. 2 from 2 p.m. until 5 p.m. at the Garden Clubs of Mississippi Headquarters, 401 East Market Street, Greenwood.

• Unity Baptist Church in Duck Hill will have its Fall Festival on Saturday, Nov. 2 beginning at 6 p.m.. There will be a fish fry with all the sides, and chicken. Please bring a dessert for the meal, cakes or pies for the cakewalk, and two gifts under $5 for Bingo.

•Mount Moriah Baptist Church will have its church yard sale fundraiser on Saturday, Nov. 2 from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m.

• The Progressive Missionary Baptist State Convention, Inc. will have its 26th Annual Men and Women Day Program on Saturday, Nov. 2, 2019 at 10 a.m. at the Zion District Baptist Association Building.  The speaker will be Minister Denise Mitchell from Friendship Missionary Baptist Church in Greenwood.  Women are asked to wear white and the men are asked to wear a dark suit with a white shirt.

• Spring Hill Missionary Baptist Church will have its 149th church anniversary on Sunday, Nov. 3 at 11 a.m. The speaker will be Pastor Franklin McKinney.

•Young Chapel Missionary Baptist Church will have its 151th year anniversary on Sunday Nov. 3, 2019 at 11a.m.
